To connect with the church family here at New Eden Church is to connect with our mission of making, maturing, and multiplying disciples who worship Jesus, abide in Jesus, and reflect Jesus to the world around us in every area of life.
To that end, everything we do and offer at New Eden Church is for the purpose of making disciples. We call these organized opportunities for you to connect with our family on this mission Discipleship Environments.
Following are the Discipleship Environments that we will offer as we plant New Eden Church.
SUNDAY GATHERINGS
As a church, we gather every week to worship Jesus corporately through singing, engaging with the Scriptures, praying, taking communion, and fellowshipping as brothers and sisters.
Currently, we gather on Sundays at our sending church, Summit Crossing Community Church in Athens, Alabama until we launch regular gatherings in the Decatur area. We would love to connect with you there. MISSIONAL COMMUNITIES
During the week, we scatter throughout the city of Decatur in smaller communities of 8-20 people, seeking to reflect Jesus as a people on mission and loving each other as family.
SERVE TEAMS
As a reflection of Jesus in whose image we are being fashioned, we seek to serve each other inward (as family) and others outward (as missionaries) to the world around us. We offer organized teams to assist us in working toward this end called Serve Teams. There are options to serve each other at Sunday gatherings and throughout the week, and outward throughout the city of Decatur.
DNA GROUPS
To go deep and abide in Jesus together, we offer DNA Groups, which are groups of 3-5 men or women that gather regularly for the purpose of discovering gospel gaps, nurturing each other in the gospel, and acting in the areas where the Spirit is calling us to obey.
