As we head into 2024, we have a few updates for you regarding our New Eden staffing and elder team.
We have been made aware of at least six families within our church body with confirmed cases of COVID. We are still planning to meet in person tomorrow for our Sunday gathering, but we wanted you all to be aware so that you can make the best decision for you and your family.
Moving forward, we are ceasing our group policies, suggestions, and communication regarding COVID-19.

Good evening, New Eden family and friends. I need to share a quick but important update with you. Earlier today, after experiencing very light symptoms, my wife and I took at-home COVID tests that both came back positive.
As we mentioned last week, we have updated our mask policy for our Sunday gatherings. As an Elder Team, we value transparency and clarity, so we wanted to post this blog explaining the new policy and the factors we considered. We understand that this can be a touchy subject, so we ask for much grace as we move forward together.
As you all know, we are working on getting our building renovation complete as soon as possible. Our current estimate is that we will be able to gather in the space beginning September 26.

Recognizing the events of this last week and prior, we held a time of lament and prayer during our Sunday gathering on March 21, 2021. This is the statement we read during that time.
Our primary aim for New Eden Kids is to disciple kids in the way of Jesus and proclaim the gospel to their young hearts week after week. To accomplish this aim, we desire for volunteers to serve from a place of health, so they can fully invest each week as they engage with your kids. After about six months of regular Sunday gatherings, we've learned some things, and we think making some adjustments will allow us to accomplish these goals more fully.

Due to a confirmed case of COVID within our small church family, we are going to cancel the rest of our planned Sunday services for the month of July. We had a great time gathering with you all last Sunday, but to honor our governmental guidelines and to care for those in and around our church family, we felt it best to wait until August 2nd to resume in-person gatherings.
In the last few weeks, we have experienced some exciting milestones as a church. We have affirmed 19 Covenant Members as a part of our church family, and we also launched our regular Sunday gatherings. Any good theology starts all the way back in Genesis, back in a beautiful garden-temple that the Scriptures call the "Garden of Eden". It was in this beautiful garden that God created the first humans and charged them with a lofty and privileged calling - to lovingly care for and rule over all of creation as an act of worship to their Creator.
