TITUS 1:1-4

Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of God’s elect and their knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, in the hope of eternal life that God, who cannot lie, promised before time began. In his own time he has revealed his word in the preaching with which I was entrusted by the command of God our Savior:

To Titus, my true son in our common faith.

Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.


APPLICATION QUESTIONS

  1. In general, was there anything that stood out to you from the sermon or the reading of the text? Was there anything you were encouraged or confused by?

  2. What did Paul say was the purpose of His life and ministry?

  3. Paul talked about a future hope of eternal life that has been promised since before time began. How does this future and past reality encourage us in the present?

  4. What are some ways you want the Spirit to help you grow in proclaiming and/or living out the gospel?

  5. How was the gospel and the work of Jesus magnified through the text or sermon?
